The sentence

The music resounds too loud, but I can only hear,
The thoughts sneaking in: the demons come near,
Although I hunt them, they leave a trace of despair,
Their legacy – gaining the loss, I become their heir.

The feathers of the conversations fly far away,
Leaving me behind to figure it out and to pay.
But the fee doesn’t confine in anything material,
It requires my loneliness and memories on trial.

Found guilty of not establishing boundaries, therefore,
Allowing others to benefit from my kindness, just for
Them to watch me bleeding when I need their help most,
While the ones that hurt my soul deepest are the closest.

As a result, my decided sentence is pithy, yet succint:
Learning how to assert myself, to be strong like mint,
When they make waves, but to keep my refreshing flavour,
Whilst my company deserves it; The devil did me a favour,

Compelling me to obey his final verdict, but I become numb:
This denies my sensitivity, yet I can’t even raise my thumb.
The dark scent disappears along with all the noise, in my room
A metallic silence reigns, inviting the reflections to blossom.
